Storybook Favorites

While browsing through the lengthy list of creative storybooks there were three in which caught my eye. The three that stood out for me were mainly due to their title names which one of the themes I enjoy in real life the most.

The first one was the the Gossip Girl themed storybook "gossip girl Ayodhya". The project is written in the voice of the infamous gossip girl who, in the show, spills all of the crazy secrets of New York's elite high schoolers. In the storybook the gossip girl's goal is the same, share all the juicy news involving King Dasharatha's sons, Rama and Lakshmana, accompanying Sage Vishwamithra to war. Sage had only originally requested for Rama to join him but Lakshmana does not seem to leave his brother's side much. The remaining of the storybook tells the story of the brother's journey with Sage and crazy events they encounter.

The next storybook I decided to take a peak at was "Indra Lord of Thunder". This title first drew me in because the link to it mentioned Thor the Thunder God. My dad's name is actually Thor after that Thunder God and so I am always intrigued to read more stories about the mythological character. In the story there is a new thunder god in town and his name is Indra. Zeus, one of the other ruler of the skies god, heard about Indra and was not happy. Zeus and Thor had been in agreement for sometime with each other on how to share the skies and adding a new guy to the mix had never really been the plan. The book goes on to tell how the two deal with the new guy, Indra.

Lastly, the third storybook that caught my eye was, of course, "Keeping Up With Parvati". I love Keeping Up with the Kardashians so I had to see what this one was all about. Parvati is the goddess of fertility and love and is happily married to the God, Shiva. Together they have two sons. Parvati comes from a royal family in which her father is King Himavan of the mountains and Queen Mena. The storybook is kind of like a biography of her life in which she shares stories about her loving marriage and kids.
