Reading Notes: Epified Krishna Pt. A

This weekI chose to watch the series on Epified of Krishna. The story of Krishna is a new one for me so I enjoyed being introduced to him. Krishna was born to the King's sister and a man her brother did not approve of. The King imprisoned the couple and decided to kill the baby. The night before the King was going to kill the new born, Krishna's father escaped from his cell and went far away. He crossed a raging river and came across a village in which the voices in Krishna's father's head told him to stop at. They found a woman by the name of Vasudev who had a baby girl just hours before sleeping. Krishna's father replaced him with the babygirl, Maya, and went off back to his cell with her. When Vasudev woke up she did not really question the fact her daughter was now her son and her husband brought her another son too. Back at the kingdom the evil king took Maya and attempted to kill her. He failed at doing so.

Krishna became a mischievous boy, always getting in trouble with his brother. Fairly early on Vasudev realized that Krishna was very special. One time when she looked in his mouth to see if he was eating mud she saw the entire world instead! Krishna grew and later on even defeated a God trying to hurt the people in his village as he held an entire mountain protecting them with a finger.
